Get started with your bibliography immediately using BibMe, which allows you to look up a particular book, magazine, newspaper, website, journal, or film by using a slick auto-complete search function that's powered by WorldCat.
Once you've compiled your citations, you can download the RTF file for use in a word processing program or create a free personal account in order to save your bibliographies for later use. Since BibMe is web-based, you don't have to download any software onto your computer in order to use the application.
Using BibMe is very easy. To get started, search books, magazines, newspapers, websites, journals, films, etc. for the item that you'd like to cite. Click the "Select" icon to add the item to your bibliography:
Check the accuracy of the citation and click the "Add to my bibliography" button:
If you would like to make any changes to the citation (such as capitalizing the title), you can do so by clicking the "Edit this item" pencil icon:
Select the desired citation style output format (MLA, APA, Chicago, Turabian) and click on either "Download" or "Save to Account" in order to generate your bibliography.
BibMe is a lot like EasyBib in that both are web-based citation management tools and are both easy to use. BibMe is great for generating a quick bibliography and/or citation. Since it's web-based, you don't have to worry about downloading any special software onto your computer and you can easily login to your optional account in order to save your work. Using the Auto-fill input mode, BibMe searches WorldCat and automatically populates necessary citation metadata for you.
