The George Fox Library Textbook Affordability Program launched in 2017.
The library will work with teaching faculty to reduce students' textbook costs and increase their academic engagement through two concurrent strategies:
Benefits to students include a reduction in the cost of attending college and increased opportunities for engagement and academic success.
Helping with textbook affordability is a Library goal. George Fox librarians look forward to working with faculty colleagues to provide high quality educational resources to students while saving them money.
Coming Soon: A blog post about student savings from faculty use of George Fox library ebooks and open textbooks. The total student savings from library ebooks has recently been calculated and comes to just under $200K from the past academic year.
The combined total of student savings from open textbooks and library ebooks for the 2016/17 academic year exceeded $300K!
