How Do I Know the Article I Found is Peer-Reviewed?

Peer-reviewed refers to the publishing process:

  • Manuscripts submitted to the journal are reviewed by one or more subject experts to determine quality of research, originality, etc.
  • Most peer-reviewed journals will list the editorial board on the journal's website

In EBSCOhost, if you click the journal title to see record details, scroll down to the bottom and look for Publication Type. If it's peer-reviewed, it will be indicated.

Another option is to search the Ulrich's Web to determine whether a journal is peer-reviewed.
