YA & Children's Book Awards: Home

Searching for great books should include getting recommendations from friends, teachers, librarians, and (of course) kids themselves, but every year, book loving organizations across the US highlight their top picks for excellent titles in dozens of categories. Although these aren't the only excellent books out there, and they may not be "the best" books in every context, they can be an excellent starting place, especially when you are looking for titles that represent specific diverse voices and experiences.

This guide collects several major awards (most affiliated to some degree with the American Library Association), but you can also find awards at the state and local level and awards from booksellers, special interest groups, and more!
