The Library Collection

We have over 600,000 ebooks and over 100,000 online journals.  We have 100,000 print books and access to 20 million more through our consortium.  Between that and interlibrary loan, we're able to get almost anything you want from the 758,666,761 items findable in Primo, our discovery service.

Navigating Access, Systems, and Jargon at George Fox Library

Library Links and Access

As a George Fox University faculty member you have access to library subscription resources.

You can access these resources with your credentials in one of two ways. On the Newberg campus,  many of our resources will recognize your computer's IP address and pass you through to content seamlessly, but the same links will not work off-campus. Bookmarked or emailed links may not work off-campus because of this difference. All links on the library website will include additional information in the web address that tells the resource that you are a GFU affiliate. When in doubt, always start at library.georgefox.edu.

We're here to help!

If you are stuck or can't find what you need for your research in our systems, please reach out to your librarian. We will be happy to help.

Summit

Summit is a resource sharing service that allows you to request books, DVDs, and other physical items from 37 academic libraries in the Pacific Northwest.

  • All George Fox students and employees can use it.
  • Summit materials usually arrive in 1-3 days and can be checked out for up to 6 weeks, with one renewal.
  • You can return materials to any library in the Summit system.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan allows you to borrow resources from beyond our library's holdings.

  • Rapid ILL is our new, automated interlibrary loan system.
  • Most article requests are filled in less than 24 hours.
  • Login to your Interlibrary Loan account to get started.
