Like George Fox, many public and private university libraries are open to visitors and may make their online collections available for onsite use. As a rule, state universities are open to residents of their state (usually with photo ID and proof of residence). We recommend contacting libraries at private universities directly to see if they are open and what visitor privileges are.
Example institutions:
University of Oregon Libraries: Computer Use | Community Borrowing
UCLA Library: Services for the General Public
University of Washington Libraries: Services for Visitors
Alumni who would like help connecting with a university library in your area may email researchhelp@georgefox.edu.
Many public libraries also offer access to research tools and services, such as online databases and Interlibrary Loan services. Depending on your research topic, you may find appropriate access through your local public library.
Oregon State Library Database Program
Multnomah County Public Library Card (available to many Oregonians outside of Multnomah county)
DBA students who would like assistance identifying public libraries that serve your area may reach out to kwimer@georgefox.edu.
