Library Search - George Fox Primo: What Are Search Scopes?

Library Search and Discovery System for George Fox University Libraries

Searching Primo

How does the new library discovery tool, Primo, work?

Primo uses search scopes to combine specific collections and focus your results. Scopes can be changed by using the drop down menu next to the search box on the library home page. The default scope is 'Everything.' It includes items owned, subscribed to, or accessible by George Fox Library, and items owned by the 36 other academic libraries in the Orbis Cascade Alliance. Selected articles subscribed to by George Fox Library are available. Individual databases are available to search for more comprehensive results.

What is included in each search scope?
