Hi! My name is Andrea Abernathy and I am the library liaison for the Nursing program. I can assist with locating resources, knowing which sources are credible, and defining your topic so it is manageable for the research process. I look forward to working with you! 20 minute video explaining the why's and what's of Evidence-Based Practice, produced by OVID Wolters Kluwer.

Why Evidence-Based Practice? Video, Part 2

21 min., produced by OVID Wolters Kluwer. Focuses on strategies for searching the Joanna Briggs Institute resource (which the GFU Libraries does not have access to). However, many of the concepts presented may be applied to other resources such as PubMed, Medline, CINAHL with Full Text*, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials*, Cochrane Database of Controlled Trials*, and ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health*.

*These resources are available through the EBSCOhost platform. Click on the EBSCO Articles link. Once in the EBSCOhost platform, select the Choose Databases link to select the specific sources you wish to search (you may cross-search multiple databases at the same time). If you have questions, please contact a librarian for assistance.
