Books (including monographs, handbooks, encyclopedia) can be excellent resources for the social sciences researcher. Because they allow space both to dive deeply or cover more breadth of an issue than article literature, they can serve as seminal resources as well as excellent starting places for research.
From classic works on counseling theory to monographs focusing on specific populations or specialties, our book collections are shelved by subject, meaning a visit to the stacks (in person or via the online browsing tool) can lead to similar sources.
In addition to access to our print collections, you also have easy access to the collections of 38 other participants in the Summit library sharing system. These books will show up in Primo search results and will direct you to place a Summit request to be picked up from the front desk of Murdock Library in 1-3 days.
